HNorah Yang is a Chinese stand-up comedian and the founder of SpicyComedy, one of China’s leading comedy clubs. With more than 9 million followers across major social platforms in China, she has built one of the country’s largest online audiences in comedy.
Born and raised in Shanghai, Norah performs stand-up in English for audiences in China and around the world. Her comedy draws on family, identity, and the absurdities of navigating Chinese and Western cultures — from growing up in Shanghai to studying in the U.S. and eventually finding her way back home.
Norah has performed across China, the United States, Australia, Thailand, and Japan. She has opened for international comedians including Jimmy O. Yang and Mark Normand, competed in the San Francisco Comedy Competition, and has been featured by international media including South China Morning Post, China Daily, Sixth Tone, CGTN, and SBS Australia.
Beyond stand-up, Norah has interviewed global stars including Timothée Chalamet, Scarlett Johansson, and Anya Taylor-Joy. As the founder of SpicyComedy, she has helped build one of China’s most active platforms for English-language stand-up, bringing Chinese and international comedians together on stage.
Norah is currently touring Family Business, her English-language stand-up special about growing up in China, going abroad, coming home, and realizing that somehow, everything leads back to family.
Norah Yang 是一位常驻上海的多语种脱口秀演员，以英语、普通话、上海话和日语演出。她曾获《中国日报》和澳大利亚媒体 Missing Perspectives 报道，两家媒体都将她视为中国脱口秀界具有开创性的多语种声音。
她于 2016 年底开始表演脱口秀，并在上海 Kung Fu Komedy Club 完成首秀。此后，她在中国、美国、澳大利亚、泰国和日本演出了数千场，并曾为来华巡演的国际喜剧演员 Jimmy O. Yang、Mark Normand 和 Kate Willett 担任开场嘉宾。她还参加过 2018 年旧金山喜剧大赛，并曾是跨文化喜剧 YouTube 频道 Mamahuhu 的演员。
2023 年，她在上海创立了脱口秀俱乐部 SpicyComedy。俱乐部每周举办英语、普通话、上海话演出，也不定期举办粤语和日语演出，邀请本地及国际演员登台。SpicyComedy 还曾呈现 Jason Leong、Garron Chiu，以及日本短剧组合さらば青春の光等演员的特别演出。CGTN 报道称 SpicyComedy 是推动上海乃至中国脱口秀复兴的重要力量，其演出“很快售罄”；That’s Shanghai 也将其视为上海不断成长的多语种喜剧生态的一部分。
除脱口秀外，她也是一位内容创作者，在各社交媒体平台拥有超过 900 万粉丝；她还采访过 Timothée Chalamet、Scarlett Johansson 和 Anya Taylor-Joy 等国际艺人。
